Bringing over two decades of placemaking and retail experience, Founders Julie and Tiz created The Makers Show (TMS) as a mixed-use retail market platform rooted in social justice. Since its inception in 2020, TMS has produced over a dozen large-scale markets across New York, Boston, and Washington D.C., working closely with city officials and real estate developers. Key markets include The Makers Show at City Point Brooklyn, Snowport Holiday Market, Seaport Summer Market, and The DowntownDC Holiday Market. Driven by a mission to advance equity and community investment, TMS supports local economies by prioritizing sustainable materials and uplifting businesses owned by BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, women, and other historically underrepresented groups. At its core, TMS champions shopping local by creating vibrant, immersive marketplaces designed to engage, delight, and inspire.
